This is an annual award given to a graduating senior who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance during his/her four years in Computer Science program at 9i´«Ã½ÓÐÏÞ¹«Ë¾.

There was a great turnout of 9i´«Ã½ÓÐÏÞ¹«Ë¾ computer science students besides the students in the above team.

Our computer science students have demonstrated again and again that they are extremely competitive among students from other schools. There is no doubt that they are well-prepared to take on any real-world challenges when the graduate!

Stephora Cesar-Alberi (Junior, Computer Science), and Andersen Herman (Junior, Chemistry, Honors) presented their IRB-approved road safety survey data to the Salisbury's City Council. This community research was conducted in collaboration with the City of Salisbury’s Department of Transportation on behalf of Vision Zero to research road safety on the west side of Salisbury. Ryan Weaver (PACE, Interdisciplinary Studies), Presidential Citizen Scholars LaMaree James (Senior, Environmental Studies) are the project directors.

Computer Science major Alex Mekovsky will present his 2023 NSF REU EXERCISE project at  taking place between March 17 and March 21. The title of his project is “Machine Learning and Computer Vision Techniques to Identify and Monitor Ostreidae Nondisruptively”. Dr. Enyue (Annie) Lu is his research mentor. Alex worked on the project along with two other REU students.
