Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the concludes that liberal arts colleges offer a greater return on investment (ROI) in the long-term than most other types of higher education. The critical thinking skills, adaptability, and flexibility that a liberal arts education provides are “more valuable than ever,” according to the President of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, Lynn Pasquerella. She adds that while other institution types can prepare students for today’s entry-level work, “employers are looking for employees who can advance in the profession” well into their careers, into jobs that may not have been invented yet. Student Research Grants
Supporting undergraduate and graduate scholarly and artistic endeavors is important to the Fulton School. To support such efforts, Student Research Grants are awarded three times a year.
Dean's List
Students who qualify for the Fulton’s Dean List will receive a congratulatory letter and certificate from the Fulton School of Liberal Arts dean, Dr. Maarten Pereboom. The Dean’s List is also published by Public Relations in the student’s local paper and a complete list is available online.
Fulton Student Ambassadors

General Education Requirements
In April 2021, SU faculty voted to adopt new General Education requirements for all undergraduate students. Those requirements go into effect starting fall 2024. Learn more about General Education Requirements!
